Here are some chess clubs you might want to contact (ACF Affiliates are included on a separate page). Please email president@alabamachess.org if you would like your club listed here, or to help us keep these listings up to date.
The Atmore Chess Club meets Wed. and Fri. 6:30 pm to 9:15 pm at The Coffee House in Atmore, AL. All skill levels welcome. Come and play with us! Check us out on facebook.
The East Alabama Chess Club generally meets Sundays from 2-4 PM in Auburn. Check finefellow.com/chess to confirm meeting times and locations, or email ken at finefellow dot com for more details. Join us for games and analysis, and help us expand toward our goal of becoming an ACF affiliate.
The Fairhope Chess Club generally meets Thursdays from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 860 N. Section Street. Contact: Tim Yahr at at yahr98@yahoo.com for more information.
The Spanish Fort Chess Club meets Wednesday from 10 a.m. to Noon at the Spanish Fort Community Center in the kitchen area. All are welcome. Contact Charlie Harris at 251-604-4403.
Chess S.A.V.Y meets Wednesdays from 3:30-5 at the Toulminville branch library in Mobile on Staton road. Chess S.A.V.Y is a club for all children in homeschool and public and private school. Lessons are FREE and open to all ages and all levels of play
